I love this new thai place on the 123rd St. causeway in Miami. Their menu includes great thai and fresh sushi, they deliver in North Miami and take really great care of the customers. The prices aren't the lowest in town, but honestly, I don't mind paying a bit more for good food-- plus the owners are extremely friendly and gave me a 10% discount coupon to use whenever I come in, so it's def worth it!

I love Pad Tai but it seems I have never eaten the dish befor today!!! This was the absolute best!!! We also tried the Pinapple fried rice and it too was amazing. The price was very reasonable and the service was prompt and friendly. We will be making this our new Tai food destination from now on!

I had the opportunity to travel to Thailand and fell in love with the food! Happy Sushi and Thai is the closest authentic and most delicious Thai food I have found in South Florida! The sushi is excellent as well! They have soy paper too for a substitute instead of seaweed which I don't like. It's hard to find! They are fast, friendly and excellent for delivery as well. Love this place!

With the presence of cool weather, a sudden craving for some pad thai and tom yam gai soup fills my soul. I was cruising down the Sans Souci ( i love the sound of that, Souci ) area in NoMi and came across Happy Sushi and Thai. the name alone beckoned me to come inside and take a looksey. I spoke to a very polite young lady that greeted me with all smiles who mentioned they had opened in October. The place is very clean and crisp looking. They have sushi, sashimi, nigiri, temaki, japanese entrees, sushi combos, curry and fish entrees. i think they pretty much run the gamut. I ordered the soup of Tom Yam Gai ( giggles) and Chicken Pad Thai- to go, I'm a busy gal about town. As I was the only customer there at the time, my food was delivered to me promptly. When I was ready for my Tom Yam Gai, it was hot, full of flavour and spicey. It hit the spot. The Pad Thai was deliciously pad thai-y, just like I imagined it would be. Happy Sushi and Thai is a nice find. The food is tasty and close in proximity to where I am currently staycationing. Happy Sushi and Thai your yummifullz soup of Tom Yam Gai and Pad Thai satiated my craving. For this I thank you with a promise of return. They gave me a business card for 10% off of my next visit. I love places that give great service.

It's my first time here, they are very friendly, and in miami that's saying something. I will write a follow up about my food. I only wish they had sticky rice. So far so good.

**Update** I didn't think it could get worse, but it actually can. It's three and a half hours later and I still haven't received my food. Absolutely despicable service. The owners of this business should be ashamed of themselves. Every time that I called it was a different story. First the driver was running late, then the driver spilled my order (never mind that I didn't order anything that could spill), then it was another 30 minutes, then another 20 minutes. Ultimately it was all lies. I had a horrible experience the first time I ordered from this place, but I like to keep an open mind so I tried them again tonight. I ordered something very simple, just a couple of rolls and fried rice, but here I sit as I write this two hours later still waiting for my food. There are a lot better options that actually their operations together.

I put a start cause I can't comment unless I rate it.. Well I rate it way below this one star. I ordered through eat24, I wanted curry massaman with tofu and Thai tea. The tea was strong like it had been sitting to long but it was OK to drink. The curry was my main complaint. It had shells of some kind, I thought its peanut shells but when you bit into it the inside was black with a horrible flavor. After accidentaly biting into 3 of them I gave up on the dish. I called the restaurant and they said that it's what I ordered not to order it again. Eat 24 had to call them and again they said it s my fault I ordered it. Eat24 took care of my refund but this place was horribly rude and the food was equally as horrible. NEVER AGAIN

I had a terrible experience. My fiancé and I ordered in a Thai dish and some sushi. There was hair on one of the sushi rolls. The Thai dishes were bland and not spicy at all when we had ordered them spicy. I'm disgusted with this place. When we called them to let them know of our experience, they said they would send another dish but we would have to pay the delivery fee. I'm very disappointed. Bad food and bad service.

I don't see why people complain about this place. I ordered takeout from here on Eat24 and when I got to the restaurant, I was greeted by extremely nice people who were preparing my fresh food. They even called me by my name. The young lady offered me a beverage while I waited and so I ordered the Thai Iced Tea. It was delicious. Everything was clean. My food was delicious and packaged very neatly. For the price, you can't beat it. When I got home and actually opened everything up, I was pleasantly surprised. They have Japanese and Thai cuisine for a very economic price, it's all fresh and made the minute you order it. I ordered the Coconut Soup along with the Spring Rolls. My boyfriend had the Dragon and Spider Roll. We both ordered side salads with ginger dressing. I really enjoy the food here and it's unfortunate they show poor reviews. After reading the other reviews, my only determination is that some people don't know how to properly order, distinguish, or even eat properly for that matter. I hope everyone gives this spot a fair shot. Thank you for being so kind and I look forward to dining with you soon.

My wife, kids, and I love this place! This is a Family business. Jimmy- the owner is always cooking up delicious dishes and doing whatever he can to please his guests. We have been eating here regularly ever since it opened about 2 years ago. The Sushi food is always fresh and delicious, and the Thai food is amazing! I did not like Thai Curry before eating here until I tried the Red Curry here and it was amazing. They use more authentic ingredients than any other Thai restaurant I have been to before in my life. The Panang Curry is also my favorite. I also highly recommend getting pork over chicken. If you ever have a problem with your dish just let them know. They are a great bunch of people there with great service. They get lots of delivery business so it's never very busy inside but it's the best Thai food you can have without having to fly over to Thailand. The Sushi is delicious too my kids eat the salmon rolls all the time. I love all the rolls and if you want a low carb roll try their rolls that are without rise. If you live Thai and Sushi you will Love Happy Sushi and Thai.

The Pad Thai was quite good, but all of the sushi was not very good at all. The service wasn't great, but tolerable. For the quality of the food (not the lunch specials which were reasonable) the prices were extremely high. For little local sushi spots this one is charging way too much. I will not be back!

My husband and I went here for lunch. He had the pad thai and a couple of pieces of sushi and I had the chicken teriyaki and 2 pieces of sushi. My chicken was absolute leather it was so overcooked and the teriyaki sauce was thick as glue and tasted weird. The quality of the sushi was meh and they were way overpriced. We were one of only 2 parties in the entire place but the service was meh as well. Would not recommend going here for any reason really.

I ordered the yellow chicken curry as well as the beef yakisoba. The yakisoba was horrible! It was flavorless and the noodles were completely soggy. I've eaten many yakisobas and this was by far the worst. The curry on the other hand was much better. Not the best I've eaten, but better than the yakisoba.

I'm eating here at this moment and the service is horrible. I was waiting for five minutes at the sushi bar before anyone even said hello. When I asked if the Kimchee sauce had any MSG, they said no multiple times. I asked to see the bottle so I can read the ingredients. The bottle has Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) listed as one of its main ingredients. I had to tell them their own condiments have MSG. Really? How are you a business owner and not know what MSG is ? The papaya salad sucked also. I won't be back

The sushi is not good. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and dragon roll and it tasted like both had been soaking in honey all day. The soup was sugary also. If you are into sugary sushi you might like. Not my thing.

I'm a frequent customer here but today I was disappointed with my order. To begin with the lady that answers the phone and takes the order she has never been friendly. I had to ask her for utensils because she did not even add them to my order. I ordered the chicken pad thai which was my all time favorite but today the taste was so different like they had over cooked the chicken and even the color was different. The appetizer did not bring the sauce it usually comes with and the appetizer just didn't taste fresh. Could it be a different chef?

Terrible. The pork red curry was chewy. Curry tasted like nothing. Even the white rice was mushy.

I've only order from here through Eat24. The delivery is always on time or early. The panang curry is delicious, with fresh basil and green and red bell peppers. I order the medium, and it's not at all spicy. I'm always afraid of ordering too spicy, so I typically add sriracha at home. I also like the white rice because it is sticky and easy to eat with chop sticks.

This was my first visit. I ordered the Mido soup....omg yummy. Then I ordered an eel and spicy tuna roll to go. I was very impressed. Super fresh. I'll be sure to go back....

I don't know why all the reviews are bad - I think ppl are just anal. I was in some serious need for Thai food like I usually am every couple of weeks, and the offerings in Miami aren't what I'm used to - better than Philly but so far from LA. I was literally stressing out because the other Thai restaurants with better ratings didn't deliver across the bridge (c'mon son) and this restaurant had all the fixings just a low rating. At this point, I'm starving. I was on the phone with my boyfriend and he just said enough is enough and ordered me some pad thai and a Thai iced tea from Happy Sushi and Thai and I was a little scared because of the ratings but about 20 minutes later a nice guy delivered the food and it was easily top 5 pad thai I've ever had. My only issue was that it was a little on the oily greasy side but it was so good I didn't mind a little extra oomph. They didn't get skimpy on the shrimpys either I which I appreciated. Thai tea was perfect, I highly recommend the spot for Thai food - it seems the other ratings were for the sushi but if you're seriously getting sushi from a Fusion spot, you can't even be mad.

So today ricky thai was closed and I was surprised by someone getting food from this place instead. I would have informed them of my past unpleasant experience and to stay away. It's clear happy sushi and thai is doing what they need to do to improve, the take out containers are of better quality, the noodles are clearly better quality and all around a better meal then my last experience. I can't say I would choose this over the nearby restaurants but they are edible and a little cheaper then your average. Keep up the improvements.

I received a delivery from Happy Sushi around the later hours (around 10) and ordered the chef special roll and an order of krab rangoon. Not only was the sushi absolutely AWFUL tasting (like the fish was old and slimy), but the krab rangoon had little to no filling whatsoever... I was essentially eating fried dough without a filling, and in fact, there were even 2 of them that didn't contain filling at all! I was extremely disappointed with the order (I ordered off of the Grubhub website) and will likely not be ordering from them again.

As Asian person I am particular about where to eat Asian cuisine. This hidden gem is a great place with great food! The noodles are the best in town! The pad thai and pad see ew are made with fresh noodles. The sushi rolls are great. The portions are generous! The staff are very friendly and inviting!

I waited to try this place a few times before I reviewed and now I'm glad I did. It was OK the first couple of times I ordered some basic rolls. In my most recent order I opened the box to be greeted with a hair sticking out of one of the rolls, my nigiri a complete mess, and ginger smothered all over everything. Didn't make the effort to drive back there and ask for my money back as it honestly wasn't worth it and it's always dead inside so I can't see how this place stays in business much longer, but it goes without saying that I'll never order from here again. The worst part is I'm convinced this was intentional on their behalf, the presentation was so appalling it's just not something that happens by accident. Absolutely disgusting behaviour.

Granted, I only order Thai and most of the time it's delivered (quickly at that) or pickup. It's solid. All the pad Thai and curries have been good and the service outstanding. I love picking it up at night. The owner's little daughter is always there giving you the brightest smile or nodding off looking cute as a button. What can I say, I'm a sucker for kids ;)

Hidden gem! This place was fantastic. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a smile. Only open for about 7 months, this little sushi/Thai restaurant has it going on. I started out with some tuna and yellow tail nigiri. So fresh. Not to mention the presentation. While I waited on my chicken pad Thai, I had some great conversations with the staff. It's good to know that genuine human contact is still alive and well! Finally, let me just say that chicken pad Thai is my absolute favorite. This wasn't the best I've had but it comes pretty close and I didn't wait an eternity for my plate to get to me. To top it all off, they're open just about every night until 10:30p (11p on Fridays and Saturdays). I will definitely be returning for seconds!

The food was good actually. The only problem I have is that they short you on the 1/2 duck that costs $20!!! It was overcooked, with a bunch of vegetables!!! Only a little bit of duck!!!! I was pissed, and WON'T BE DOING THAT AGAIN

This place is located in a shopping center. My sushi was really good. My husband enjoyed his Thai tea and pad Thai. The customer service was very nice.

I have to be honest, I haven't tried the Thai food! I received a coupon in the local paper. I was looking for a sushi place close to my home. So I was very disappointed when I spent $15.95 for the Chef's Special sushi. Just to find they use a cheap imitation crab! I'm very pissed off!!!! It real bothers me when restaurants like this think people are stupid when it comes to crab. My son had the spider roll with the soft shell crab for $8.95. It was better, but not wow! we started the meal with the fried shrimp wrappers. Not wow either. Bottom line is...................................... WHEN I'M PAYING $15.95 FOR SUSHI, IT BETTER BE REAL MEAT IN THE MIDDLE...EXECUTIVE CHEF!!!

Consistently great flavors coming out of this kitchen, at sensible prices. My wife and I frequently dine in or take out, and Happy Sushi does not seem to get the credit it deserves. Slightly higher prices than other similar sushi thai places, but even the simplest of dishes are much tastier than you would expect.
